Cadet Exhibition
The festivities of the 225th anniversary of Finnish officer education were held in Rantasalmi in the summer in 2004. During that weekend the Haapaniemi Cadet School exhibition was opened, and part of the lakeshore park by the road passing Rantasalmi village centre was named Cadet Park. The Haapaniemi Cadet School memorial is situated at the location of the old school.

In the Geo-talo building next to Linnansaari national park Visitor Centre and Rantasalmi museum, by the road passing Rantasalmi village centre (address: Ohitustie 7).
